WebORB for Java Servers® is a platform enabling development of and providing runtime integration for client-server applications. The product facilitates connectivity between  client-side environments and server-side components including Java classes (POJOs), Spring beans, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) and XML web services. Supported clients include JavaScript, iOS, Android and Windows Phone, Flex/AIR, Flash, Microsoft Silverlight.

To facilitate creation of HTML/JavaScript rich client applications, WebORB includes a JavaScript library enabling remoting functionality between JavaScript code and supported Java services. The library provides a framework that significantly simplifies connectivity between JavaScript clients and Java services. The APIs provide a communication stack designed to connect and execute synchronous and asynchronous invocations on a variety of server-side objects.

WebORB supports Adobe's Action Message Format (AMF) version 0 and 3 and can be used to process Flex and Flash Remoting requests. Additionally, WebORB provides an implementation of the RTMP protocol and supports the following real-time messaging and streaming features: Flash Video streaming, video recording, data push, server-to-client invocation and remote shared objects.

WebORB for Java Servers can be easily deployed into any Java servlet container or application server. Additionally, WebORB for Java Servers can run in the standalone mode which does not require any additional deployment steps.
