I have installed 4.5.0.31 on our development server. Using our production database I have generated a model and I've managed to get the code generation functionality to work only one time out of about 30 or so attempts. The exact problem is that after I click the Build button it freezes during validation. If I start this process in chrome I see nothing execpt that the validaton reads "Validating table 0 of 98, 0%" If I am using chrome, I get no error message, but IE 9 produces an error message on click Error #1009 at OnValidate(). I have given the process upwards of an hour to run, I've restarted IIS, I've restarted SQL, I've rebooted the entire machine, I get the same result. Server specifications are listed below:
Server: Windows 2003 R2 x64
SQL: SQL 2005 Developer Edition
IIS Virtual Directory .NET Version 2.x
This seems like a great product, if i could just get the generation to work from the Data Management section to work. Any insights would be appreciated,
