Enterprise Edition can scale from small to very large deployments. It is absolutely essential especially if you have any of the following requirements:

WebORB Community Edition is a free scaled-down version of WebORB that can be run on one server. While Community Edition can be used for development, staging or production, it does not support the advanced features found in Enterprise Edition.
