WebORB for PHP is server-side technology
enabling connectivity between Flex and Flash Remoting clients and
PHP applications. WebORB for PHP can be installed into any PHP5
application to expose PHP classes as remoting services. The
product provides a complete implementation of the Adobe's AMF0 and
AMF3 messaging protocols and thus supports Flash Remoting or Flex
clients.
WebORB provides feature-rich,
but very easy-to-use infrastructure supporting client-server
integration at the following levels:

Remoting - Rich clients can use WebORB to invoke
server-side operations on the exposed PHP classes. WebORB
acts as a gateway between Flex/Flash clients and PHP
classes. The product handles all serialization, deserialization,
caching, state management and security
aspects of the integration. |

Messaging
- WebORB for PHP provides an implementation of a
publish/subscribe system for Flex clients. The feature
allows Flex clients to publish messages to a remote
destination as well as subscribe to the destination to
receive published messages. WebORB includes an
easy-to-use API for the client side enabling client/server
messaging. |
