lc.cx website ↗ Platform Documentation ↗ Capability data verified 2026-07-31
A quarterly catalogue refresh publishes several hundred new product URLs
Get Account reads the plan's remaining short link quota and the date it resets, before anything is created
Create Short Links in Bulk mints the batch on the brand's own domain in one call, each link carrying the quarter's campaign tag so the set reports as a unit later
Create QR Codes in Bulk renders the codes from the account style template for the printed catalogue
Find Short Link by Path spot-checks a sample of paths against the destinations they were meant to carry
The brand owner confirms which branded domain the batch is published under, because the domain is the part of the URL a customer reads and trusts

What This Integration Enables

With lc.cx, the branded domain is the product. Short links exist on plenty of platforms, but the reason to run this one through an agent is that the hostname in front of the slug belongs to you, is verified by DNS, and is what a customer actually reads before deciding whether to tap. That makes the domain an asset with its own lifecycle rather than a setting, and the connector treats it that way: Add Domain registers it in a pending state until verification, Update Domain controls where the bare root and the 404 page send people, and List Domains reports the verification status of everything the account holds.

Everything else in the connector hangs off that. Short links are created one at a time or up to a thousand in a bulk call, published on a chosen domain with a reserved path, tagged into campaigns and given expiry rules with a fallback URL. Tags are not decoration here: Get Tag Click Statistics returns per-link click totals for every link carrying a tag, so a whole campaign reports in one request. QR codes are generated against existing links, individually, from an account style template, or up to fifty at a time, with each image stored in FlowRunner file storage and returned as a downloadable URL ready to attach to an email or hand to a printer. Get Account reads the plan's link ceiling, current usage and quota reset date, which is what turns a large import from a hopeful loop into a flow that knows whether it will finish.

Without FlowRunner

Links carry someone else's brand Campaign URLs go out on a generic shortener domain that says nothing about who sent them
Quota discovered mid-job A bulk import fails partway through because nobody checked what the plan allowed
Campaign reporting is assembled by hand Click totals are gathered link by link and pasted into a sheet

With FlowRunner

The hostname is yours Every published link resolves on a domain the account owns and has verified
Capacity checked first The flow reads remaining quota and the reset date before it starts creating anything
A campaign reports as one unit A single call returns per-link click totals for every link carrying a campaign tag

Use Case Scenarios

Publish-time link minting from the CMS

An article or product page goes live in Webflow. The agent creates its share link with Create Short Link on the brand's own domain, reserving a readable path derived from the page slug, and attaches the content cluster's tag plus a note recording which release it belongs to. If the requested path is already taken on that domain, the call returns a conflict and the agent falls back to a suffixed variant rather than silently overwriting anything. The finished short URL is written back into the CMS record for the social scheduler to pick up.

Reporting a campaign as a single unit

Instead of walking a list of links, the agent calls Get Tag Click Statistics once per campaign tag and receives per-link click totals for the whole set, paging through when a campaign is large. It joins those totals to the destinations from List Short Links, writes the ranked result into a Google Sheets tab, and posts the top and bottom performers to the marketing channel in Slack. The campaign, not the individual link, becomes the unit of measurement.

Retiring a branded domain that has gone quiet

An acquired brand's domain is still attached to the account and nobody is sure what is running on it. The agent lists the domain's short links, pulls click statistics for each, and assembles a picture of what is still receiving traffic and what has been dormant for months. That picture goes to the owner as a proposal, not as an executed cleanup, because removing the domain removes everything published on it.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

Delete Domain on lc.cx has the widest blast radius of any operation in this connector, and it is deceptively quiet. Removing a branded domain deletes every short link published under it, and every one of those URLs stops resolving immediately. There is no per-link warning, no undo, and no way to know from the API call itself how many printed pieces, email footers and social posts just went dead. So the agent never calls it as part of a cleanup sweep. It gathers the count first and puts the question in the channel: "Retiring go.oldbrand.co removes 214 short links published on it, 31 of which took clicks in the last 30 days, and the 6 QR codes generated against them stop resolving too. Export the links first, or confirm deletion?" The person answering knows whether those 31 live links are on a business card, and the API does not. Delete Tag carries a smaller version of the same problem worth knowing about: the links survive, but they lose the association, so the campaign's reporting unit disappears while the traffic keeps arriving unattributed. FlowRunner's job here is not to slow the agent down. It is to make sure the one call that erases a namespace is made by someone who knows what is printed on it, which is what human-in-the-loop exists to guarantee.

Agent Capabilities

26 actions

Short Links

7
  • Create Short Link Shortens a destination URL into a trackable lc.cx link, optionally on a branded domain with a reserved custom path, tags, a note, a redirection rule and an expiry date with a fallback URL. Returns a conflict error when the path is already taken on that domain.
  • Create Short Links in Bulk Creates up to 1,000 links in a single call, each with its own destination, domain, tags, note and redirection rule. Intended for importing a campaign or catalogue at once. Custom paths are not supported in bulk mode.
  • List Short Links Retrieves a page of the most recently created links, newest first, with each link's id, short URL, domain, path, destination, tags and click count.
  • Get Short Link Retrieves one link by id, returning its short URL, branded domain, path, current destination, tags and total click count. Used to inspect a link before changing or reporting on it.
  • Find Short Link by Path Looks up a link by the path that appears after the domain, combined with the branded domain it belongs to. Used to resolve a known short URL back to its id, destination and statistics without listing everything.
  • Update Short Link Redirects an existing link to a new destination and updates its note and tags, leaving the published short URL unchanged so anything already shared keeps working.
  • Delete Short Link Permanently deletes a link by id. The short URL stops resolving immediately and its click history is removed. Verify with Get Short Link first, because this cannot be undone.

Click Statistics

2
  • Get Link Click Statistics Returns the total clicks recorded for one short link. Used to report on a placement or to gate a flow on an engagement threshold.
  • Get Tag Click Statistics Returns per-link click totals for every short link carrying a given tag, so a whole campaign reports in one call. Results are paginated.

QR Codes

3
  • Create QR Code Generates a QR code image resolving to an existing short link, so scans are counted in the same click statistics as the link. Supports a title, a hexadecimal foreground colour and PNG or SVG output, stored in FlowRunner file storage and returned as a downloadable URL.
  • Create QR Code From Template Generates a QR code for an existing link using a styled template already configured in the lc.cx account, so codes match brand guidelines without specifying colours per call.
  • Create QR Codes in Bulk Generates codes for up to 50 existing short links in one call, styled with a title and colour or built from an account template. Output is PNG only.

Branded Domains

5
  • List Domains Retrieves every branded domain on the account, including the shared lc.cx domain, with verification status, description and configured homepage and 404 targets.
  • Get Domain Retrieves one branded domain by id with its hostname, description, verification status and redirect targets.
  • Add Domain Registers a new branded domain so links can be published on your own hostname. The domain stays pending until its DNS records are verified by lc.cx.
  • Update Domain Updates a domain's description and its homepage and 404 redirect targets. The hostname itself cannot be changed.
  • Delete Domain Permanently removes a branded domain and every short link published on it, all of which stop resolving immediately. Export or migrate the links first.

Tags

7
  • List Tags Retrieves every tag in the current workspace with its id, name and colour. Tags group links into campaigns and are the unit Get Tag Click Statistics reports on.
  • Get Tag Retrieves one tag by id with its name, colour and timestamps. Used to confirm a tag exists before attaching it to links.
  • Create Tags Creates one or several tags in a single call, each with a name and an optional hexadecimal colour. Names must be unique in the workspace.
  • Update Tag Renames a tag or changes its colour while keeping its id, so every link already carrying it stays associated.
  • Update Tags in Bulk Renames and recolours several tags in one call. The request is rejected if two tags are given the same name or a name collides with an existing tag.
  • Delete Tag Permanently deletes a tag. Links keep working but lose the association, and the tag can no longer be used for click reporting.
  • Delete Tags in Bulk Permanently deletes several tags in one call. Confirm the ids with List Tags first, because the associations cannot be recovered.

Workspace and Account

2
  • List Workspaces Retrieves every workspace the API key can access, with your role in each and the branded domains attached to it.
  • Get Account Retrieves the account behind the API key, including the plan, whether tagging is available, the maximum number of short links allowed, how many have been used and when the quota resets. Used to check capacity before a bulk job.

Triggers

Event Triggers

1
  • On New Short Link Fires when a new short link is created on the account, emitting the full link object including its short URL, domain, path and destination, optionally restricted to a single branded domain. The first poll records a baseline without firing, so pre-existing links are never replayed. Used to catch links people create by hand in the dashboard and pull them into tagging, QR generation or approval flows.
