A daily schedule fires for a watchlist of symbols
Agent pulls closing prices with Get Latest End-of-Day Data
Agent reads each symbol's close against its stored baseline
Agent flags symbols that crossed a movement or alert threshold
Agent confirms the move is real and not a data gap
Agent drafts an alert or client note with the flagged symbols
Any client-facing alert or trade signal waits for advisor approval

What This Integration Enables

The Marketstack connector lets agents read equity markets without a person opening a terminal. Agents pull end-of-day prices for a range, a specific date, or the latest close, and read intraday prices at custom intervals for dashboards. The splits and dividends actions track corporate actions. The tickers, exchanges, currencies, and timezones actions supply reference data to enrich CRM or spreadsheet records. List operations page through results with limit and offset. The connector delivers the numbers; the surrounding flow turns them into a report, an alert, or a recommendation a human signs off on.

Without FlowRunner

Prices exported by hand Someone downloads a daily quote file and pastes it into a sheet
Corporate actions missed Splits and dividends get noticed when a client asks, not before
Stale reference data Ticker and exchange details in the CRM drift out of date

With FlowRunner

Prices pulled on a schedule The agent fetches closing prices for the watchlist automatically
Corporate actions tracked Splits and dividends surface as events the moment they post
Reference data kept current Ticker lookups enrich records with accurate name and exchange data

Use Case Scenarios

End-of-Day Watchlist Report

A finance team tracks a watchlist of holdings. After market close the agent calls Get Latest End-of-Day Data for the full symbol list and compares each close to its stored baseline. Symbols inside their band are logged to a tracking sheet. Symbols that broke their band become exceptions, and the agent drafts a summary with the price, the move, and the recent trend for the analyst to review before anything goes to a client.

Corporate Action Tracking

An operations agent watches for splits and dividends on covered names. It calls Get Dividends and Get Stock Splits on a schedule and compares the results to what is already recorded. A newly posted dividend or split becomes an event the agent surfaces to the team with the dates and amounts, so client statements and models reflect the action instead of catching it late.

CRM Reference Enrichment

When a new position or account references a ticker, the agent calls Get Ticker to resolve the company name and exchange, then writes the reference data alongside the CRM record. Get Exchange and List Currencies fill in the surrounding detail. The enrichment runs on record creation, so the reference data is right the first time instead of being cleaned up later.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

A closing price is a fact. A trade signal or a client alert is a decision, and the agent does not make it alone. When a watchlist symbol crosses its alert threshold, the agent stops before anything reaches a client or a trading system. It assembles the symbol, the move against baseline, the recent end-of-day series, and a proposed message, then routes to the advisor through their channel: "AAPL closed down 8 percent against its trailing 20-day average, past the client alert threshold. Send the drafted note to affected accounts?" This is [human-in-the-loop](/concepts/human-in-the-loop/) at the boundary where a number becomes a communication that carries weight: the agent handles the watching and the drafting, and a licensed person owns the send.
