Merk
Analytics & DataResolve companies against the complete Czech and Slovak business registers with Merk, matching on name, ICO, VAT number, email, or bank account. Agents verify a counterparty against the official record before onboarding or paying.
What This Integration Enables
Merk covers the complete Czech and Slovak business registers, and the thing that separates it from a plain company-lookup API is what it accepts as input. Suggest Companies resolves a subject from a name fragment, an email address, a registration number, or a bank account number. That last one matters more than it sounds. Every other verification path in an accounts payable process starts from something the payee supplied: the name on the invoice, the IČO in the footer, the address in the letterhead. Starting from the bank account starts from the only field that determines where the money physically lands, and asks the register who owns it.
From a resolved subject the connector opens out. Get Company Profile returns identifiers, legal form, status, registered address with coordinates, scored phones and emails and websites, industry classification, size and turnover bands, bank accounts, insolvency cases, statutory body members, and a financial summary. Get Multiple Company Profiles does the same for up to 500 registration numbers at once. Financial indicators and normalised statements support credit scoring, with Czech-specific variants for reconciling against statutory filings. Trade licences, business premises, government contracts, job ads, vehicle fleets, and waste registrations describe what a company is actually permitted and equipped to do. Relation graphs map ownership and management around a company or a person, with a hop parameter to widen the network. And registry change events, new registrations, and updated-company feeds let a flow react to the register rather than poll a copy of it. Rate limits differ sharply by operation, from 600 requests per minute on search down to 30 per hour on saved sets, so batch design is part of building with this connector rather than an afterthought.

Use Case Scenarios
Account-First Payment Verification
An invoice lands in the payment queue. Before anything else, the agent takes the bank account from the payment details and runs Suggest Companies against it. If the register returns the same subject the invoice claims to be from, the check passes in one call and the payment continues. If it returns a different subject, or returns nothing, the flow has found the case that matters. The agent runs Get Company Profile on both the invoice's supplier and the account's actual holder, pulls insolvency cases and current status for each, and runs Get Shortest Relation Path between them to see whether there is any ownership or management chain linking the two at all. A subsidiary collecting on a parent's behalf looks entirely different from two unrelated companies, and the graph is what tells them apart. All of that evidence is assembled before a human is asked anything.
Counterparty Onboarding and Credit Scoring
A new Czech or Slovak supplier submits a registration form with a name and nothing else. Suggest Companies resolves the free-text name to an IČO, then Get Company Profile fills the record: legal form, status, registered address, industry, size and turnover bands, statutory body members, and any insolvency cases. Get Trade Licences confirms the company holds valid authorisation for the line of business it is being contracted for, with any suspension dates visible. Get Financial Indicators and Get Financial Statements supply profitability, leverage, and liquidity ratios per year for a credit view, and Get Government Contracts shows public-sector revenue concentration. The enriched record writes back to HubSpot or the ERP, and the supplier gets a decision the same day instead of waiting on someone to read a registry extract.
Ownership Conflict in a Tender
A procurement team is evaluating bids and needs to know whether any bidder is connected to the evaluating organisation or to another bidder. The agent runs Get Company Relations on each bidder to build the ownership and management network, expands it with the hop parameter, and uses Search Persons and Get Person Relations to follow individuals who sit on multiple boards. Where Get Shortest Relation Path returns a chain between two bidders, the agent does not disqualify anyone. It posts the path, node by node, with roles, shares, and validity dates, to the procurement lead in Microsoft Teams. Whether a shared director two hops out constitutes a conflict is a judgment with legal weight, and it belongs to the person accountable for the tender.
Human-in-Loop Highlight
The moment to stop is when the bank account on an invoice resolves to a company that is not the supplier. Once a transfer clears, recalling it means asking the receiving bank to cooperate, and the answer is frequently no. The agent has already done the work that makes the decision possible: it holds the account holder from Suggest Companies, both full profiles from Get Company Profile, the insolvency status of each, and the relation path between them or its absence. Then it stops the payment and asks in the accounts payable channel: "Invoice INV-2291 from [supplier], IČO [number], account [masked]. That account is registered to [other subject], IČO [number]. Shortest relation path between them: none found at three hops. Release, hold for supplier confirmation, or reject?" The reviewer decides and the flow records who decided. This is what a digital andon cord does on a payment line: the agent has the authority to stop, not the authority to guess. Everything where the account and the supplier agree goes through untouched, which is almost all of it, and the small remainder gets a person and a paper trail.

- Get Multiple Company Profiles Retrieves full profiles for up to 500 registration numbers in a single call. The efficient way to enrich a batch of records without spending the per-company throttle one row at a time.
Company Detail
9- Get Business Premises Returns every registered business premise of a company with its establishment date, address, premise type, and the trade industries carried out there. Throttled to 10 requests per minute, so treat it as a targeted check rather than a bulk enrichment.
- Get Company Employees Returns known employees and contact persons with name, job position, and profile URL. Used to route outreach to the right decision maker rather than to a general inbox.
- Get Trade Licences Returns the trade licences a company holds, with licence type, industry, current state, validity dates, and any suspension or renewal dates. Used to confirm a counterparty is authorised for the work you are about to contract.
- Get Government Contracts Returns public-sector contracts awarded to a company with subject, price including VAT, contract and publication dates, the paying authority, and a link to the published record. A direct read on public-sector exposure and revenue concentration.

- Get Fleet Statistics Returns aggregate fleet counts split into total vehicles, passenger cars, and trucks. A lightweight size and logistics-capacity signal when the full vehicle list is more than the flow needs.
- Get Waste Facilities Returns waste management facilities operated by a company, with facility identifier, facility and entity type, operating state, IPPC code, best-available-technique flag, coordinates, address, and the catalogue of permitted wastes and activities.
- Get Waste Trader Registrations Returns waste trader registrations held by a company, with the registration identifier, its current state and validity start, and the list of waste codes the company may trade.

- Get Financial Statements Returns normalised financial statements per year, with balance sheet and profit-and-loss lines under a unified item coding that is comparable across Czech and Slovak subjects.
- Get Czech Financial Indicators Returns indicators using the Czech-specific indicator set. Use this variant when the figures need to reconcile against Czech statutory reports rather than against a cross-border comparison.
- Get Czech Financial Statements Returns statements using Czech statutory line-item coding as filed in the Czech collection of deeds.
Relations and People
4- Get Company Relations Returns the ownership and management network around a company as a directed graph of company and person nodes joined by relation edges carrying role, share, paid-up capital, and validity dates. Widen the network with the hop parameter.
- Get Person Relations Returns the ownership and management network around an individual as a directed graph. Used to map every company a person controls or sits on the board of, for beneficial-ownership and conflict-of-interest checks.
- Search Persons Searches individuals by full name or surname, optionally narrowed by birth date, returning a person id, associated company, degrees, gender, address, function held, and the validity dates of that function.
- Get Shortest Relation Path Finds the shortest chain of ownership and management relations connecting two nodes, either of which may be a company or a person. The fastest way to prove or disprove a link between two subjects, and the absence of a path is as useful an answer as the presence of one.
Registry Monitoring
3- Get Company Events Returns registry change events in a date range, optionally narrowed to one company or one event type and action. Each event carries the changed value, its timestamp, the source, and structured detail. The endpoint that drives change-monitoring rather than polling.
- Get Newly Registered Companies Returns companies newly entered into the Czech or Slovak registry within a date range, with registration number and establishment date. Used for new-business monitoring and lead generation. Paginated links stay valid for 30 minutes.
- Get Updated Companies Returns companies whose record changed within a date range, with registration number and update timestamp. Combine with Get Company Profile to keep a local copy of the registry in sync rather than re-reading everything.
Saved Sets and Searches
5- List Company Sets Lists the saved company sets available to the account, each with id, name, and country. Sets are curated in the Merk web application and pulled into a flow from here. Throttled to 30 requests per hour.
- Get Company Set Members Returns the registration numbers in a saved set. Feed the result straight into Get Multiple Company Profiles to enrich the whole set in one further call.
- List Saved Searches Lists the saved searches available to the account with id, name, creation date, and approximate counts of matching companies and available phone numbers.
- Get Saved Search Results Returns the registration numbers currently matching a saved search defined in the web application. Keeps an automation aligned with a segment the sales team maintains by hand.
- List Company Tags Lists tags assigned to companies by users sharing your email domain, with label, tag id, tagged company, and assignment timestamp. Optionally restricted to tags assigned from a given date onwards.
Reference Data
3- List Enumerations Returns the full set of code lists for a country in one call, covering company statuses, legal forms, industries, districts, and size and turnover bands. Used to turn the numeric ids returned across the API into readable text.
- Get Enumeration Values Returns the values of a single code list, such as industries, legal forms, districts, banks, or company event types, each pairing the API id with its human-readable text.
- Get Czech Vocative Name Converts a Czech first name, surname, or both into the vocative case used when addressing a person, and returns the detected gender. Used to make Czech-language salutations correct rather than merely present.
Account and Embeds
6- Get Subscription Usage Returns your subscription limits and current consumption per quota type, covering exports, company details, suggest calls, financial statements, business premises, and the vocative API, plus which optional areas are enabled. Check it before a large batch job.
- Get Workspace Subscription Usage Returns limits and consumption aggregated across the whole workspace rather than for one user. Use it when several people share a quota pool and the individual view is misleading.
- Get Company Embed URL Builds the URL of Merk's hosted company profile widget for a registration number, ready to drop into an iframe. The connection API key is appended as the token parameter.
- Get Person Embed URL Builds the URL of the hosted person profile widget for a person id. Czech persons only. The connection API key is appended as the token parameter.
- Send Suggest Feedback Sends corrected company information back to Merk when a user has amended data returned by Suggest Companies, such as an outdated phone number or address. Improves the accuracy of the shared database.
- Register Partner User Creates a Merk user account on behalf of a registered partner and returns the new login email, password, and API key. Requires a partner code issued by Merk. Enable Validate Only to check the submitted details without creating anything.
