One Simple API

Utilities & Personal

Connect over a single API token to a utility toolkit that bundles screenshots, PDFs, QR codes, currency conversion, email validation, domain and SSL expiry checks, and URL and metadata tools.

12 actions available
A new contact or website URL arrives in a list
Agent calls Validate Email to check syntax, MX records, and disposable signals
Agent checks the result against the list's acceptance rule
Agent reads the validity indicators returned for the address
Agent confirms the address is well formed and deliverable
Agent flags addresses that fail the check for review
A person decides whether a flagged address stays on the list or is removed

What This Integration Enables

The One Simple API connector gives agents a toolkit of common web utilities. Agents capture screenshots and render pages to PDF, generate QR codes from a URL, text, or phone number, and check whether a website is up along with its response time. They convert currencies at live rates and read the supported currency list, pull metadata about remote images and videos, expand or shorten URLs, validate email addresses, and check domain and SSL expiry. Media-producing actions return either a hosted URL or raw data. The connector supplies each utility as an action; the surrounding flow decides what to do with the result.

Without FlowRunner

Utilities scattered Each chore means a different tool, tab, or manual step
Bad addresses slip through Invalid or disposable emails reach the list before anyone checks
Expiry checks forgotten Domain and SSL renewals get missed until something goes down

With FlowRunner

Utilities in one connector Screenshots, PDFs, QR codes, currency, and validation run in the flow
Bad addresses screened Validate Email filters malformed and disposable addresses before send
Expiry checks scheduled Domain and SSL expiry reads become renewal reminders a person acts on

Use Case Scenarios

Email Screening Before Send

Before a message goes out, the agent calls Validate Email on each recipient and reads the returned indicators for syntax, MX records, and disposable or free providers. Well-formed, deliverable addresses pass through to the send step. Addresses that fail get held for review rather than being mailed into a bounce.

Domain and Certificate Monitoring

On a schedule, the agent reads a list of monitored websites and calls Check Domain Expiry for each, returning the domain registration and SSL certificate expiry dates. It writes the dates back so a team can see what is coming due, turning a chore that is easy to forget into a standing renewal view.

Page Snapshot for a Report

The agent calls Take Screenshot or Generate PDF From URL to capture a live page as an image or document, then attaches the hosted asset to a report or posts it to a channel. The snapshot preserves what the page looked like at a point in time without anyone opening a browser to grab it.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

The utilities themselves are lightweight reads and renders. What matters is the decision each one feeds, and some of those decisions carry weight: mailing a list, renewing a domain, publishing a captured document. This is [human-in-the-loop](/concepts/human-in-the-loop/) at the boundary between checking a fact and acting on it: when a validated result would trigger a consequential downstream step, the agent pauses and routes the finding to a person through their preferred channel. The message is specific: "Three addresses on this send list failed validation as disposable. Drop them and proceed, or review each one first?" The connector gathers the utility result; a person owns the send, the renewal, or the publish that follows.
