Connect over a Personal Access Token to read sleep, readiness, activity, biometric, and account data from an Oura Ring through the Oura API v2.

16 actions available
A morning schedule fires for a connected account
Agent calls Get Daily Readiness for the current date
Agent reads the readiness score and its contributor breakdown
Agent checks the score against the low-readiness threshold
Agent confirms the day has a recorded reading rather than a gap
Agent drafts a morning summary with readiness and sleep detail
A person decides whether to adjust the day's plan on a low-readiness signal

What This Integration Enables

The Oura connector lets agents read a wide range of ring data by date. Agents pull daily readiness, sleep, activity, SpO2, stress, resilience, and cardiovascular age summaries, along with detailed sleep periods, time-series heart rate, workouts, sessions, enhanced tags, and rest mode periods. They read ring configuration and personal info, and fetch a single document by ID from any collection. Every action reads; a Personal Access Token grants read access to the account that created it, and nothing writes back. The connector supplies the data; the surrounding flow decides what to summarize, what to track, and what warrants a person's attention.

Without FlowRunner

Scores checked in the app Someone opens Oura each morning to read readiness and sleep
Trends untracked Long-term patterns never get assembled from daily scores
Low-readiness days missed A rough recovery day passes without any change to the plan

With FlowRunner

Scores read in the flow The agent pulls readiness, sleep, and activity automatically each day
Trends assembled Daily summaries feed a long-term tracking view without manual entry
Low-readiness days flagged A score below threshold becomes a prompt a person can act on

Use Case Scenarios

Morning Readiness Summary

Each morning, the agent calls Get Daily Readiness and Get Daily Sleep for the current date and assembles a short summary of the readiness score, sleep quality, and recovery status. It posts the summary to a personal channel so the day starts with the numbers already in front of the person rather than behind an app.

Long-Term Trend Tracking

On a schedule, the agent pulls Get Daily Sleep and Get Daily Activity across a date range and appends each day's scores to a long-term tracking view. Over weeks and months the view surfaces patterns in sleep and activity that a single day's reading cannot show.

Recovery Reconciliation

The agent reads Get Workouts from Oura and reconciles ring-detected workouts against sessions logged elsewhere, assembling a merged record of training and recovery. The reconciliation gives an honest picture of load without the person stitching two sources together by hand.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

Reading a readiness score is safe, and the connector only reads; it never writes to Oura or changes anything about the ring. The judgment lies in what the reading prompts, and in whether private health data leaves the person's own view. This is [human-in-the-loop](/concepts/human-in-the-loop/) at the boundary between a personal-data reading and the decision it drives: when a score crosses a threshold that would change a plan, or when a workflow would share personal health data beyond the account owner, the agent pauses and routes the finding to a person through their preferred channel. The message is specific: "Readiness is 58 this morning, below your recovery-day threshold. Lighten today's training plan, or keep it as scheduled?" The agent gathers and summarizes; a person owns the response and any sharing of private data.

Daily Summaries

7
  • Get Daily Readiness Retrieve daily readiness summaries for a date range, including an overall readiness score and contributor breakdowns such as resting heart rate, HRV balance, and recovery index.
  • Get Daily Sleep Retrieve daily sleep summaries for a date range, each the aggregated sleep score for a day with contributor breakdowns for deep sleep, efficiency, latency, REM, and timing.
  • Get Daily Activity Retrieve daily activity summaries for a date range, including the activity score, calories, equivalent walking distance, steps, and active and sedentary time.
  • Get Daily SpO2 Retrieve daily blood oxygen saturation summaries for a date range, including the average overnight SpO2 percentage and a breathing disturbance index.
  • Get Daily Stress Retrieve daily stress summaries for a date range, reporting total high-stress and recovery time plus a day classification of restored, normal, or stressful.
  • Get Daily Resilience Retrieve daily resilience summaries for a date range, including a resilience level and contributor breakdowns for sleep recovery, daytime recovery, and stress.
  • Get Daily Cardiovascular Age Retrieve daily cardiovascular age estimates for a date range, reporting the estimated vascular age derived from arterial stiffness and cardiovascular metrics.

Sleep Detail

1
  • Get Sleep Periods Retrieve detailed sleep periods for a date range, each an individual sleep session with sleep phase durations, efficiency, average heart rate and HRV, and a hypnogram.

Time Series

1
  • Get Heart Rate Retrieve time-series heart rate samples between two ISO 8601 datetimes, each reading tagged with its source such as awake, rest, sleep, session, or workout.

Activity

4
  • Get Workouts Retrieve logged and auto-detected workouts for a date range, including activity type, intensity, calories, distance, and start and end times.
  • Get Sessions Retrieve guided and unguided moment sessions such as breathing, meditation, and rest for a date range, including session type, mood, and optional time-series data.
  • Get Enhanced Tags Retrieve enhanced tags for a date range. These are user-created annotations such as caffeine, alcohol, sick, or travel with an optional comment and a time window.
  • Get Rest Mode Periods Retrieve Rest Mode periods for a date range. Rest Mode is enabled during illness or recovery; each period lists the tags and comments logged during it.

Account

2
  • Get Ring Configuration Retrieve the ring configuration records for the account, each describing a ring color, design, hardware type, firmware version, and size.
  • Get Personal Info Retrieve the account personal information such as age, weight, height, and biological sex. Returns a single object and is the simplest call to verify the token is connected.

Documents

1
  • Get Single Document Retrieve a single record by ID from a chosen Oura collection, returning the same object shape as one element of that collection list operation.
