Post My Link

Analytics & Data

Turn long URLs into branded, trackable short links and dynamic QR codes with Post My Link, covering the full link lifecycle. Agents repoint a live code without reprinting anything and read scan data back.

A quarterly asset audit runs against the Post My Link account
Agent calls List QR Codes and List Channels to inventory every code the account has issued
Agent calls Get QR Code on each one to read total scans, unique scans and top countries for the period
Agent calls List Channel Items to work out which of the quiet codes were printed on physical goods rather than used on a web page
Agent posts the quiet codes with where each was printed, what it currently points at, and its lifetime scan history
The brand owner decides per code whether to repoint it with Update QR Code or destroy it with Delete QR Code

What This Integration Enables

Post My Link is for organizations whose pointers outlive the campaigns that created them. A short link in an email is disposable. A QR code printed on a case of product, a restaurant menu, a conference badge or a piece of direct mail is not: it exists in the physical world for as long as that object does, and the only part of it you still control is where it points. Post My Link is built around that asymmetry, which is why its QR codes are dynamic and keep their accumulated scan history when the destination changes.

This is the broadest link surface in the FlowRunner catalog, and the breadth is the point. Agents mint branded links with custom aliases, expiry dates, password protection, Open Graph overrides and geo, device and language targeting that sends different visitors to different destinations. They generate and restyle trackable QR codes. They group assets into campaigns that expose a rotator URL, file those assets into channels, attach retargeting pixels from a registered list, and register the branded domains everything is issued on. Read operations return the full analytics picture back. An agent can therefore run the whole lifecycle of a published pointer, from creation through organization to retirement, without a person opening the dashboard, which is exactly why the retirement decision needs one.

Without FlowRunner

Nobody owns the inventory Links, codes and bio pages accumulate across campaigns with no list of what is still in circulation
Print outlives the campaign A code ships on packaging, and the landing page behind it is retired months later by someone who never saw the code
Scan data stops at the dashboard Country, referrer and device breakdowns sit in the shortener and never reach the campaign review

With FlowRunner

One audited inventory Every link, code and bio page is filed under a campaign and a channel, and can be listed on demand
Destinations stay current A printed code is repointed in place and keeps the scan history it has already accumulated
Scan data reaches the review Breakdowns are pulled on a schedule and land in the report the campaign is actually judged on

Use Case Scenarios

Quarterly audit of codes already in the world

Every quarter an agent inventories the account with List QR Codes and List Channels, then calls Get QR Code on each entry to read its scan totals and top countries. Most codes are healthy. A handful recorded no scans at all this quarter. The agent does not clean them up, because a code with no scans is not the same as a code with no copies in circulation. It calls List Channel Items to establish where each quiet code was filed, assembles what each one currently points at, and hands the set to the brand owner as a single decision.

Campaign assets provisioned from the record that starts the campaign

A new campaign record lands in Airtable. The agent calls Create Campaign to get a reporting group and a rotator URL, then Shorten Link once per channel with the campaign's tracking pixel IDs attached and geo targeting set so European visitors reach the localized page. It calls Create QR Code for the print variant, then Assign Link To Campaign and Assign Item To Channel so nothing lands unfiled. The short URLs and the hosted scan URL are written back to the Airtable record, and the campaign owner sees the assets appear on the row they created.

Governing links created outside the workflow

Marketers create links from the dashboard and the browser extension, not only through automation. On New Link fires when one appears. The agent calls Get Link to read its configuration, checks the branded domain it was issued on against List Branded Domains, and files it into the right channel with Assign Item To Channel. When a link turns up on a hostname that is not on the approved list, or with no tracking pixel attached, the agent posts it to the marketing channel in Slack and asks the owner to confirm before it goes any further.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

The gate is on the code that has already been printed. Delete QR Code is permanent: the printed copies stop resolving the moment it runs, and the scan history goes with them. Update QR Code is the opposite kind of act, because the printed code keeps working and inherits everything it has already collected. Both are reasonable answers to a code that has gone quiet, and the agent cannot tell which is right, because the deciding fact is not in the API. It is whether cases of that product are still on shelves. So the agent stops and asks the brand owner one question per code, in Slack: "Code MENU-SPRING has recorded no scans in 90 days and points at a page that now 404s. It was filed under the Retail Print channel. Repoint it to the current menu, or destroy it?" A person answers, and the agent runs the answer. This is what a digital andon cord looks like on a link: the automation runs the audit, gathers the evidence and stops the line at the one step that cannot be undone.

Agent Capabilities

32 actions

Links

5
  • Shorten Link Creates a branded short link from a long URL, with an optional custom alias, branded domain, password, expiry date, Open Graph overrides, tracking pixels, campaign and channel assignment, and geo, device and language targeting. Used as the mint step whenever a campaign, product or content record is published.
  • Update Link Changes an existing link in place, touching only the fields supplied. Used to repoint a live link at a new destination, rotate its alias or domain, or adjust targeting and expiry without reissuing anything.
  • Get Link Retrieves one link with its full configuration and click analytics: total and unique clicks, top countries, referrers, browsers and operating systems, plus targeting rules and expiry. Used to inspect a single link before acting on it.
  • List Links Lists links with alias, short and long URL, click count, title and creation date, with paging, sorting and keyword search. Supplying a short URL performs an exact lookup instead. Used for inventory and reporting sweeps.
  • Delete Link Permanently deletes a link. The alias stops resolving immediately and the click history is removed, so an expiry date is the safer choice when a link only needs retiring temporarily. Used behind a human decision.

QR Codes

5
  • Create QR Code Generates a trackable code encoding a link, plain text, contact card, email, phone number, SMS or Wi-Fi network, with custom colours and a centre logo. Scans route through Post My Link so they are counted. Used to produce print and packaging assets from a workflow.
  • Update QR Code Changes the content or styling of an existing code. Because the codes are dynamic, printed copies keep working and the accumulated scan history is retained. Used to rescue a code whose destination has moved.
  • Get QR Code Retrieves one code with its hosted scan URL, name, creation date and scan analytics including totals, unique scans, top countries, referrers, browsers and operating systems. Used to judge whether a code is still earning its place.
  • List QR Codes Lists codes with ID, name, hosted scan URL, scan count and creation date. Used as the first step of an audit before pulling detail on the interesting entries.
  • Delete QR Code Permanently deletes a code and its scan history. Any printed or distributed copies stop resolving immediately. Used only on codes confirmed to be out of circulation.

Campaigns

5
  • Create Campaign Creates a reporting group for related links, and returns a rotator URL that spreads traffic across its members plus a public list page. Used at campaign kickoff so links have somewhere to land.
  • Update Campaign Renames a campaign, changes its rotator slug, or switches its list page between public and private. Existing link assignments are preserved. Used when a campaign is rebranded mid flight.
  • List Campaigns Lists campaigns with ID, name, visibility, rotator URL and public list URL. Used to resolve a campaign before assigning links to it.
  • Assign Link To Campaign Adds an existing link to a campaign so its clicks roll into that campaign's reporting and it joins the rotator. Used immediately after Shorten Link to keep attribution intact.
  • Delete Campaign Deletes a campaign and its rotator URL. Member links survive and simply become unassigned. Used at cleanup, when the reporting group is no longer needed but the links still are.

Channels

6
  • Create Channel Creates a channel, the folder that holds links, bio pages and QR codes together, with a name, description, colour badge and optional starred flag. Used to give a team or client its own space.
  • Update Channel Changes a channel's name, description, badge colour or starred state without disturbing its contents. Used for housekeeping.
  • List Channels Lists channels with ID, name, description, badge colour and starred state. Used to resolve the destination before filing an asset.
  • List Channel Items Lists everything filed under one channel, links, bio pages and QR codes alike, with each item's type, ID, title, preview URL, public link and creation date. Used to audit what a channel contains or to iterate over a campaign's assets.
  • Assign Item To Channel Files an existing link, bio page or QR code into a channel. Used alongside Shorten Link and Create QR Code so newly generated assets are never orphaned.
  • Delete Channel Deletes a channel. Its contents are unassigned rather than deleted. Used when a client or team wraps up.

Tracking Pixels

4
  • Create Tracking Pixel Registers a retargeting or analytics pixel that can then be attached to links, covering Google Tag Manager and Analytics, Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Twitter, AdRoll, Quora, Pinterest, Bing, Snapchat, Reddit and TikTok. Used once per platform, then referenced by ID.
  • Update Tracking Pixel Changes the name or identifier of a registered pixel. Links already using it pick up the new tag on their next visit, so this rotates a pixel ID without touching each link. Used when an ad account changes.
  • List Tracking Pixels Lists registered pixels with ID, platform type, name, tag and creation date. Used to supply the Pixel IDs parameter of Shorten Link and Update Link.
  • Delete Tracking Pixel Removes a pixel from the account. It stops firing on every link that referenced it, so confirm no active campaign depends on it first. Used in cleanup, carefully.

Branded Domains

4
  • Add Branded Domain Registers a domain so links are issued on your own hostname rather than the shared one, with optional root and 404 redirects. The DNS must already point at Post My Link. Used when a brand or client gets its own short domain.
  • Update Branded Domain Changes the root and 404 redirect targets of a branded domain. The hostname itself cannot be changed. Used to catch stray visitors on a sensible page.
  • List Branded Domains Lists connected domains with ID, hostname and configured redirects. Used to validate that a link is about to be issued on an approved hostname.
  • Delete Branded Domain Removes a domain from the account. Links already issued on that hostname stop resolving, so they must be repointed or recreated elsewhere first. Used at the end of a brand or client relationship.

Account and Page Assets

3
  • Get Account Returns the account behind the API key with user ID, email, username, avatar, plan status and expiry, and registration date. Used as a connection test or to branch a flow on plan tier before calling a plan limited feature.
  • List CTA Overlays Lists the call to action overlays configured on the account with ID, type and name. Overlays place a banner, message or contact form on top of the destination page of a framed link.
  • List Splash Pages Lists the custom splash pages defined on the account with ID, name and creation date. Splash pages are the interstitial shown before a visitor continues to a link's destination.

Event Triggers

2
  • On New Link Fires when a link is created in the account, whether from the dashboard, the browser extension or the API. The first polling cycle records a baseline and emits nothing, so existing links are not replayed. Used to govern links created outside the workflow: file them, check the domain and pixel, and escalate the ones that look wrong.
  • On New QR Code Fires when a QR code is generated in the account, carrying its hosted scan URL and name. Used to register a new code in the asset inventory and open the review that has to happen before anything goes to a printer.
