Wise

Payments

Connect AI agents to Wise (formerly TransferWise). Agents manage profiles, quote currency conversions at the mid-market rate, create recipient accounts, send and fund international transfers end to end, read multi-currency balances and exchange rates, and track or cancel transfers through the Wise Platform API.

16 actions available
A batch of vendor bills is ready to pay

Agent creates the transfer with Create Transfer
Finance team receives the batch total and per-payee rates
Funding the batch pauses for a person before Fund Transfer moves the money

What This Integration Enables

Agents run the Wise transfer sequence end to end. They list profiles to scope every operation, quote a currency conversion with its rate and fees, create recipient accounts for new payees, and create transfers that combine the recipient and the quote. They fund a transfer from your multi-currency balance to actually move the money, track transfer status, and cancel a transfer that has not yet processed. They read multi-currency balances, mid-market exchange rates, and the list of supported currencies for reporting and alerting. The agent prepares the whole payout and stops at the one step that moves funds.

Without FlowRunner

Payouts assembled by hand Each international payment quoted and entered one at a time
Rates checked manually Someone looks up the rate and fees before every transfer
Funding with no second check Transfers funded individually, with no review before money leaves

With FlowRunner

Payout sequence automated Quote, recipient, and transfer created for each payee in one pass
Rates and fees captured The agent quotes the conversion and records the rate for reporting
Funding gated The prepared batch is funded only after a human confirms the total

Use Case Scenarios

Cross-border payout run

A batch of vendor bills is ready to pay in several currencies. For each payee the agent quotes the conversion with Create Quote, registers the payee with Create Recipient Account if it does not already exist, and creates the transfer with Create Transfer. It posts the batch total and per-payee rates to the finance team and waits. Once a person confirms, it funds each transfer with Fund Transfer. A payout run that was a slow manual sequence becomes a prepared batch that a human releases in one step.

Paying vendor bills from accounting

New vendor bills arrive in your ledger. The agent reads them with [Xero](/integrations/xero) "Get Invoices", creates matching payees with Create Recipient Account, then quotes and creates each transfer with Create Quote and Create Transfer. Paying suppliers abroad stops being a hand-keyed process and becomes a flow that stays in step with the ledger.

Sending a refund internationally

A refund or payout needs to reach an external bank account abroad. Triggered from a [Stripe](/integrations/stripe) refund event, the agent quotes the conversion, creates the transfer at the mid-market rate, and funds it after a review. After Fund Transfer completes, it logs the transfer id, amount, and recipient to [Google Sheets](/integrations/google-sheets) "Add Row" and notifies the finance team with [Slack](/integrations/slack) "Send Message To Channel". The refund reaches the recipient at a real rate with a clean record behind it.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

In Wise the steps that prepare a payment are safe to automate: quoting, registering a recipient, and creating an unfunded transfer all leave the money where it is. The step that actually moves funds is Fund Transfer, and that is the one that should wait for a person. Configure the agent to pause before Fund Transfer. It sends the finance approver the recipient, the amount, the currency, and the quoted rate through Slack and asks: "This transfer is ready to fund from the balance shown. Release it?" A person confirms, and the agent funds exactly the transfer that was approved. Because the transfer is created unfunded, nothing moves until that answer arrives. The approver and the timestamp are written to the audit trail. This is [human-in-the-loop](/concepts/human-in-the-loop): the agent pauses, gathers the context and the choices, routes to the right person, and resumes on their answer.

Profiles

2
  • List Profiles Lists the personal and business Wise profiles available to the token. Used first, because almost every operation is scoped to a profile.
  • Get Profile Retrieves a single profile by ID, including its type and detail fields. Used to confirm which profile a workflow runs against.

2
  • Create Quote Creates a quote for a currency conversion or cross-border transfer, returning the rate, fees, and a quote id. Used to price a transfer before creating it.
  • Get Quote Retrieves a quote by id, including the rate, fees, and expiry. Used to check a quote is still valid before using it.

Recipients

4

  • Get Recipient Account Retrieves a payee account by id, including holder name and bank details. Used to confirm a recipient's details.

  • Get Transfer Retrieves a transfer by id, including status, amounts, and rate. Used to track a payment.
  • List Transfers Lists a profile's transfers, optionally filtered by status. Used to review outgoing payments.
  • Cancel Transfer Cancels a transfer that has not yet processed. Used to stop a payment created in error.
  • Fund Transfer Funds a created transfer from your multi-currency balance, which is what actually moves the money. Used behind a human release gate.

Balances

1
  • Get Account Balances Retrieves the multi-currency balances for a profile. Used to check funds before funding a transfer or for reporting.
